St Ives, Prime Time and the team offer a range of fishing trips, seal watching trips, and the opportunity to see basking sharks in Cornwall and spot the practically world famous St. Ives seals in the harbour and at the stunning nearby Seal Island.  We also do private Charters tailored to your own specifications, these could include all day Wreck Fishing trips and Bird Watching right through to Ash Scatterings.


Mackerel Fishing


Mackerel Fishing, 1 hr 30 min Trips.  With rods, all tackle supplied and you can keep your catch.  Mackerel are a pure delight on the BBQ, Grilled or Smoked.  Simon is very experienced and has spent his life at sea as a commercial fisherman. We try to arrange the fishing trips with the tide times to give the best chance of catching mackerel.

Seal Island


Seal Island, 1hr 20 min trip. We leave St. Ives harbour, travel 3.5 miles west along the beautifully stunning North Cornish coastline until we reach seal island. There, we hope you will see the resident colony of Atlantic Grey Seals that live there on the rocks, locally known as seal island.  While travelling we'll point out various features of the landscape and we'll be on a continual lookout for all sorts of wildlife, you just never know what you'll be lucky enough to see.

Godrevy Lighthouse

Godrevy lighthouse, 1 hr 30 min trip to the popular and iconic coastal landmark. We depart the harbour area and travel 3 miles east across St. Ives bay.  On our passage there is a great chance to see masses of wildlife including Bottlenose Dolphin, Common Dolphins, Basking Sharks and Tuna aswell as loads of pelagic seabirds including the rare Baleric Shearwater. Grey Seals also frequent the rocks here, so don't forget to bring your Binoculars and camera.

NB...we want everyone to enjoy our trips we provide, as such we advise that its able-bodied passengers only on low water trips.  This is because our boat trips depart depending on the tide, when the tide is out you will be transferred in a small boat (skiff) to Prime Time. On spring tides you will have to paddle (take your shoes and socks off) to get to the small boat to transfer you to Prime Time.  Please call for further information and tide suitability. *Children are classed as 12months to under 16 years*
